RESEARCH

This research was conducted during a mass communication theory course as part of my master's degree studies at Baylor University. I conducted a content analysis of ISIS related articles in TIME and Newsweek magazines from November 2015 to March 2016 in order to discover how the two newsmagazines covered the terrorist organization and what themes emerged. This study was chosen to be presented at the 2018 Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Midwinter Conference, held at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. 

This research project began in my Philosophy and Methods class and continued as an independent study course. I studied how varying types of governments and their levels of control impacted other lifestyle variables of South American and Southeast Asian countries. This study was chosen to be presented at Ouachita Baptist University's Scholars Day in 2016.

​This research was conducted during a course entitled Word Food Problems, as part of my master's degree studies at Baylor University. Part one of this research discusses a brief history of South Sudan and statistics on food insecurity, malnutrition, and famine. Additionally, it discusses what potentially is hindering food production, consumption, and distribution in the country, as well as what the local community organizations and the international community organizations are doing to help alleviate these issues.

​This research was conducted during a course entitled Word Food Problems, as part of my master's degree studies at Baylor University. Part two of this research provides a further discussion of how the international community is helping the food crisis occurring in South Sudan, as well as my own evaluations and short, mid, and long-term recommendations to help a country in need. 

This research paper was written in my Security and Terrorism class at Murdoch University. It discusses the concepts of security, terrorism, and risk in relation to the counter-terrorism methods used throughout the world in the past two decades.  

This paper was completed during my Festivals and Events class at Murdoch University. It focuses on the world famous Oktoberfest, while taking into account the Triple Bottom Line Theory of social, economic, and environmental gain.
